Gallagher Lake Campground Resort News Letter
(formerly the Gallagher Lake KOA)

Greetings to you campers from Jack and Gerri your Gallagher Lake Campground Resort managers. The 2008 camping season is fast approaching and we are looking forward to a great year. Just by our new name you can see that we have been busy and have made some changes. No longer are we a KOA Campground but we are still a Campground and the new Gallagher Lake Campground Resort name reflects the resort atmosphere that everyone has come to know and enjoy.

Speaking of everyone, that is exactly who we are reaching out to this 2008 season. Our family oriented campground is open to everyone. There is no membership or Value Cards needed, if you want to camp with us and we have a space that suits your needs, you can camp right here at Gallagher Lake Campground Resort. If you had purchased a KOA Value Card from us at the old Gallagher Lake KOA in 2007, we will gladly honor that card for this season only.

For those campers who have been coming to our campground for years and have already made reservations for this 2008 season, nothing will change regarding your reservation but as of May 1 2008 there will be no more what we called, Regular Status. Anyone wanting to reserve a site for 2008 may do so now, as for the 2009 season, you can do so on a first come first reserve basis after May first 2008. We have valued the Regular program and its campers for years but it had become a major problem in both tracking and managing. We hope by opening up the reservation system as we have, regular campers and new campers can access our beautiful resort for years to come.

Our 2008 activity program is packed solid with activities for the young and the old. Check it out in the activity section of the website and we are positive you will find an activity suited just for you. Unfortunately one of the activities we had wanted to start last year never got off the ground. That activity was the Memory Book of pictures and stories of camping experiences here at Gallagher Lake. There just was not enough interest or input so Gerri and I have put the book on hold for a while.

Last camping season we saw hundreds of new families in our campground. There just seemed to be an explosion of children throughout the summer and so many of those new families will be joining us again this year. That is why we are going to work hard at a new program called, Get To Know Your Neighbor. We are going to be holding a number of social events around the Old Country Kitchen and at the Beach this season so that those who have been with us for years and the new campers can mix and mingle, share stories and get to meet new friends. Some of the best of friendships and lasting relationships have been made in this very campground and we want to foster this healthy family tradition. Look for those get together events in the activity section on this web site, see you there.

Gerri and I along with our staff look forward to meeting you as you come camp with us here at the new Gallagher Lake Campground Resort. Camping is one of those wonderful family experiences that creates memories that last forever. We value and appreciate your camping with us and want to help make your stay unforgettable. Gallagher Lake Campground Resort is in the memory making business just for you and your family.
